In short

SCPilot does not collect, store or share any personal data. There is no analytics, no tracking and no advertising – neither in the app nor on this website.

Controller

The SCPilot app

• Your saved connections, remembered folders and settings are stored only on your Mac, inside the app's container.
• Passwords, key passphrases and keys created in SCPilot are stored in the macOS Keychain on your Mac.
• SCPilot connects directly to the servers you enter. No data is sent to us or to any other third party.
• SCPilot reads your SSH configuration (~/.ssh/config, ~/.ssh/known_hosts) only on your Mac and only after you grant access. It changes ~/.ssh/config only when you explicitly choose to add a site to it.
• The app is sold and delivered by Apple through the Mac App Store. Apple's privacy policy applies to the purchase. If you agreed to share analytics with developers in macOS, Apple may provide us with anonymous crash reports.

This website

This website uses no cookies, no tracking and no content from other providers (such as fonts or scripts). When you open a page, the web server processes the technically necessary data – IP address, date and time, the page requested and browser information – in log files to deliver the site and keep it secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The log files are deleted regularly.

Email

If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR) and delete them when they are no longer needed.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object (Art. 15–21 GDPR). You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW).
